The police officer with cannabis made it difficult for her colleagues to check and knew what was in the car

The police officer Simona Luleova, who was caught with cannabis in the car near Razlog, knew what she was transporting, which is clear from the evidence gathered during the investigation, the prosecution claims.

She first sought assistance by phone from a colleague to find out the reason for the stop and for a faster check, after which she handed over the car key to her ex-husband, which made it difficult to check in accordance with the Law on the Ministry of Internal Affairs, the state prosecution reports.

At the request of the District Prosecutor’s Office – Blagoevgrad, the court took a measure of remand “in custody” against the 25-year-old policewoman, accused of illegal possession of a narcotic substance

From the testimony of the witnesses in the case, it is established that at around 2:00 p.m. on January 28, she was driving a Volkswagen passenger car on the way from the town of Simitli to the town of Razlog. In the area of a gas station, she was stopped for a check by the police officers.

In the course of it, they found a black plastic bag under the bark in the trunk of the car, on the rim of the spare tire. Inside it were placed two smaller envelopes containing a dry green grassy mass. During a field drug test, she reacted to cannabis. The total amount of the substance is 475 grams.

There is a real danger that the accused will motivate some of the persons who are to be questioned as witnesses to give false testimony. The amount of narcotic substance – the subject of the accusation, requires a reasonable conclusion that there is a real danger that Simona Luleova will commit another crime.

The investigation continues under the leadership of the District Prosecutor’s Office – Blagoevgrad.
