The PlayStation 5 controller comes in two new colors in June

Via the official PlayStation blog the company was able to unveil two new DualSense colors this week. Midnight Black colors the whole thing black, while Cosmic Red replaces the original controller’s white paint with a neon-like red color.

– Our goal is to always find designs that will surprise and tease our fans, and these new colors are the result of an extensive selection process. We wanted the new controllers to fit well together – and also with the original DualSense controller and the PlayStation 5 console – so we designed the colors around the “galaxy” theme as it seemed like a natural progression from the original design of both PlayStation 5 and console accessories, explains designer Leo Cardoso.

Both Midnight Black and Cosmic Red will go on sale sometime in June. In the UK, the date is set for June 18, but when they come here to Norway has not yet been confirmed. Sony has still not said anything about plans to offer official side plates for the PlayStation 5.

How developers use the DualSense controller

In connection with the announcement of Midnight Black and Cosmic Red, Sony has also brought a number of developers to tell how they use the DualSense controller’s various functions.
