Undoubtedly, the member associations of the Fédération Internationale de Football Association (FIFA) will receive a sum of 300 million FCFA to cope with the financial crisis caused by coronavirus disease. It also comes down to finding yourself in women’s football which has suffered only too well from good organization in Gabon.
The development of Gabonese women’s football requires good organization and a regular championship as for men. Ladies do not enjoy the same benefits. Since the announcement last Thursday of funding for FIFA, the thorny subject of women’s football is back on the table as regards its emergence. For the third stage of the implementation of the assistance plan for member associations, FIFA is emphasizing the women’s football component with an additional subsidy of $ 500,000 (approximately 300 million francs). A sum which should allow the Gabonese football federation (Fégafoot) to organize a championship worthy of the name to the Ladies next season, when we know that the member associations will be able to request loans without interest, which can go up to the amount of 5 million dollars (about 3 billion francs).
Gabonese women’s football while waiting to rub their hands must wait for the organization of a good competition which will undoubtedly see talents hatch as well as others who continue to maintain hope for the happiness of Gabon.
