“Especially in the first half, we were a balanced opponent in Pilsen. We also had several good options there, unfortunately we did not manage to use any of them,” said Spartan coach Vaclav Kotal.
He no longer sent Dočkal and Hložka to the second half, which he probably saved for Wednesday’s MOL Cup final with Liberec. Kanga and league debut Horák jumped off the bench.
The Pilsen team opened the score in the 56th minute. Hořava found Chorý from the corner kick and he didn’t give Nita a chance with his head. The Romanian goalkeeper, catching the 50th match in the Czech league, then kicked Mihálik and Čermák.

Pilsen has already maintained a close lead and defeated Sparta for the fourth time in a row at home and did not lose to the rival for the tenth time in a row. “We lost after a while, but we have to forget about it and focus on Wednesday’s cup final,” Kotal pointed out.
Slavia dispersed debates about the master hangover
Four days after winning the championship title, the footballers of Prague’s Slavia won the third round of the league superstructure over Jablonec 4: 0. Two goals were scored by Petar Musa, who also did not change the penalty in the setting, but still moved to the top of the table of gunners. Petr Ševčík added one goal and Lukáš Masopust alternated.

A moment later, the Slavists increased. Provod’s shot was blocked by Plechatý only towards Ševčík, who sent the ball into the open goal. He followed up on the last winning shot against Pilsen and scored the tenth goal in the 100th league duel. The guests were threatened by a minute before the break, when Hämäläinen headed around the corner with the help of a small flowing goalkeeper Markovič on the ground just above.
“Slavia was better from the beginning, we pulled for a shorter end. We had two chances there, in which we should have been more emphatic,” said Jablonec coach Petr Rada.
In the 53rd minute, Musa could have added the third goal of the Prague team, but Hanuš caught it. The Croatian forward celebrated his second goal in the match five minutes later. He embraced the tracker Štěpánek by the ball and ended the separate escape exactly to the pole. He scored the 13th goal and moved to the top of the gunner’s table. “I saw that the defender doesn’t go full ball. I lurked there, I went full throttle, I took the ball and cleaned it up,” Musa said.
Jablonec did not have the strength to dramatize the match. On the contrary, Coufal could have increased, whose attempt was made by Hanuš. In the 79th minute, he stopped Pilíkov’s shot into the open home goal Provod and the guests did not get a single goal.
Instead, they collected again. After Stanciu’s pass, he proceeded to Hanuš in the 86th minute with the alternating Shrovetide and did not hesitate. After Pilík’s intervention, the home team still had a penalty, but Musa did not change it in the third minute of the setting and refused the premier hat-trick in the Czech league. “I would like to thank Nico (Stanciu) for giving me a balloon. Nico told me I would score a goal. I didn’t score a hat-trick, but it doesn’t matter, especially that it was won,” said Musa.
“Slavia dominated. It can be seen that she deserves the title. We missed eight players today. There is nothing to evaluate from our side, we were not a sparring partner for Slavia, we could not match her in practically anything,” said Rada.
