The Doctors ’Union Council decided to refer 5 doctors from the administrative leaderships in the Directorate of Health Affairs in Minya and the Ministry to the investigation committee, against the background of the accident that caused the death of 3 doctors and the injury of 12 others, and the members of the Council confirmed, in a statement issued by the union, a short time ago, that the referrers for investigation are: Director Abu Qurqas Administration in Minya, Director of the Samalout Department in Minya, Director of the Minya Medical Department and Acting Undersecretary of the Ministry of Health in Minia, and Assistant Minister for Initiatives Affairs, noting that summonses are being sent to all of them to appear before the investigation authority of the union, within the framework of members of the Council being responsible for restoring the right of martyrs Profession and Massabhe of young doctors in Minya incident, and pursuant to the decisions of the General Union of Physicians, pointing out that the sanctions could reach the write-off of the doctors’ syndicate records.
Dr. Ibrahim Al-Zayat, member of the General Union of Physicians, the decision of the Ministerial Syndicate Committee, said that the syndicate has prepared a preliminary list for the doctors who are to be referred for investigation by the Ethics Committee.
Al-Zayyat explained, in special statements for the seventh day, that the union continues to follow up on investigations, to include any new names whose responsibility for the accident may become clear, indicating that officials who are not members of the union, the competent union will be addressed to their affairs to take the necessary action against it, in addition to following their position in investigations Acting Administrative.
The meeting of the Medical Association Council that was held to discuss ways to confront the disaster of the doctors of Minya ended with the issuance of several decisions, namely: Calling for a general assembly on March 13, to discuss the crises of doctors in Egypt in the light of what happened to the doctors of Minya, and the President and Prime Minister will also be addressed to intervene to stop All forms of abuse and risks currently faced by doctors.
The Medical Syndicate had said that Dr. Nora Kamal Abdel Latif, the third victim of the Minya minibus accident, had died, on Friday, from her brain hemorrhage, as a result of the terrible accident of the Minya doctors, which occurred last Wednesday morning, when she joined her two martyr colleagues, Rania Muharram Mohamed And Dr. Samah Nabil Awad, expressing sincere sadness and sorrow to the family of Doctor Nora Kamal, and to all the young doctors, and offered my sincere condolences, calling on God to recover to the rest of the injured.
