Ukraine will receive NASAMS short and medium-range anti-aircraft missile systems within a few months. This was announced by the US Deputy Secretary of Defense for Political Affairs Colin Cole on briefing August 8.
“There is no NASAMS in this package, there are AMRAAM rockets for NASAMS. NASAMS deliveries are being prepared. We think they will arrive in the next few months,” he said.
Recall that in July it became known about the plans of the United States provide Ukraine with two NASAMS batteries.
On Monday, August 8, Washington announced new package of military aid to Kyiv in the amount of one billion dollars. It, in particular, included ammunition for HIMARS, AMRAAM missiles, a thousand Javelins and C-4 explosives.
