The paradise for golfers and their families

At the first thought of Orlando, most of those willing to travel split into two distinct camps. Some think of Orlando as a vibrant city in northern Florida, which like the rest of the state has golf courses in abundance and fulfills every “fairway dream” for the golf enthusiast.

Others think of Orlando as the perfect family destination and a collection of attractions for young and old. These people immediately think of Walt Disney, Seaworld, and other exciting places to visit. Golf Post was able to convince itself that these two camps can be brought together at the PGA Merchandise Show in Orlando.

Orlando offers the perfect symbiosis of golf and family

After all, two of the most beautiful things in life are family and golf, and in Orlando they are brought together by none other than Walt Disney. In the small-town-like facility by Walt Disney there are not just one, not two, but three fantastic golf courses, including hotels and a clubhouse.

There is little more to say than world class about the golf courses. From the design of the course to the condition of the golf course and the service for everything to do with golf, the Central European golfer has everything that the sometimes rain-plagued heart desires. Even at the end of January, you can whirl around the fairways in a polo shirt and shorts and simply forget about winter at home.

The real highlight, however, is the compatibility with the sometimes not so golf enthusiastic family entourage. Walt Disney courses offer green fee arrangements for this target group in particular, which allow fathers and / or mothers to include a quick round of golf in their daily schedule. You can book early bird rounds in the morning as well as fast 9-hole rounds in the sunset.

If everyone is infected with the golf virus, you can let it rip

Have you already managed to spread your passion for golf to the whole family, or are you only traveling with like-minded people, Orlando is a real golfing challenge. Well over 50 courses within a radius of 40 to 50 kilometers are waiting to be discovered and played and really offer everything a golfer’s heart desires.

Aside from nature conservation ordinances and building regulations, the course designers have been able to let off steam at will over the past 100 years and sometimes create gigantic facilities. Extensive water hazards paired with palm trees and forests characterize the golf courses in the region and await you with all kinds of animals that you won’t get to see in Germany.

Presenting courses to you at this point or making recommendations would go beyond any scope, as there are so many excellent golf courses in Orlando especially and in Florida in general, all of which are waiting to be explored.

Only one place can be highlighted and particularly appreciated without a guilty conscience. We’re talking about the Bay Hill Course. The square designed by the “King” Arnold Palmer himself is considered to be Orlando’s jewel and is the venue for the Arnold Palmer Invitational.

Here the golfer will find water wherever the eye can see and a condition that only PGA tour courses can offer. The nicest thing about the place, however, is the opportunity to play on it as an amateur. On the site’s website, arrangements can be booked quickly and easily, so that everyone can walk in the footsteps of the great legend and the professionals.

Orlando is simply a golf paradise

Countless fantastic golf courses, a supporting program for the whole family that can hardly be found anywhere else, and summer all year round: these three aspects make Orlando the go-to place in Florida. Of course, many will now say that Miami and the coast are better and more spectacular, but in Orlando the overall package is simply right.
