The owner of the truck in the Crimean bridge explosion denies involvement
On Saturday (8) the Russian bridge over the Crimea exploded and partially broken and President Vladimir Putin signed an order requiring the protection of traffic passages, power systems and gas pipelines in the Kechi Strait. Investigators identified the van owner as a 25-year-old Russian man, Samir Yusubov, who lives in southern Krasnodar Krai, while his 52-year-old cousin, Makhir Yusubov, was driving the van at the time of the accident. Russian President Vladimir Putin has ordered to strengthen the security of the Kechi Strait and protect the energy infrastructure.
In a 28-second video circulating online, Yusubov denied any involvement in the Crimean bridge explosion, claiming the truck was used by Maher, who transports goods and usually arranges work through a website. Yusubov said Maher was lost after the bridge exploded. It is currently unknown whether the truck driver knew there were explosives in the car. Netizens analyzed images of the explosion released by Russia and believed that the first blast point was in the air outside the bridge, so the truck was ignited afterwards, suspecting it was a missile attack.
Ukrainian presidential adviser Podoljak once said that the explosion of the bridge was just the beginning, stressing that anything illegal must be destroyed and that all stolen items must be returned to Ukraine, but he did not admit responsibility. US media quoted an anonymous senior Ukrainian official who admitted that Ukrainian intelligence services had planned the attack, involving a bomb loaded on a truck crossing the bridge, which Kiev banned officials from talking about the explosion.
The Russian government previously said that a criminal investigation was launched after a truck exploded and set fire to the tanker of another train on the bridge, causing partial damage to the bridge.
