OP announced new agreements on Donbass

The only military conflict in Europe continues in eastern Ukraine, and this war remains one of the main issues on the international agenda, Mendel said.

Ukraine continues negotiations on Donbass at various levels, including with the countries of the Normandy format. The result of the negotiations will be certain agreements on the negotiation process on the issue of achieving peace. On Sunday, April 4, the press secretary of the President of Ukraine Yulia Mendel told about this in on the air of the TV channel “Dom”.

She stressed that “peace is not just an abstract value, but an opportunity to raise industry, create jobs, and develop infrastructure.”

In this context, commenting on the recent conversation between German Chancellor Angela Merkel, French President Emmanuel Macron and Russian President Vladimir Putin, the press secretary of the Ukrainian president stressed that the leaders of the three countries talked about many problems – the fight against coronavirus, vaccinations, the Middle East and, of course , the question of the situation in Donetsk and Luhansk regions was raised.

Mendel noted that today the only military conflict in Europe continues in eastern Ukraine, and this war remains one of the main issues on the international agenda. Therefore, in her opinion, “it is correct that the Donetsk and Luhansk regions are remembered in the negotiations.”

“But it’s one thing when they talk about Donbass, express their point of view. And it’s quite another when decisions are made. And in world diplomacy, in principle, it is impossible for a decision on any country to be made without its participation. Especially when we talk about such a tense conflict that is taking place in Donbass, “said Zelensky’s press secretary.

Recall that the speaker of the Ukrainian delegation to the Trilateral Contact Group (TCG) Alexey Arestovich believes that the Russian Federation has no rational reason turn the conflict in Donbass into a large-scale war.

We will remind, Ukraine expects that the administration of US President Joe Biden will participate in the de-occupation of Crimea and Donbass and will strengthen its role in ensuring its safety.
