The Office of the President reacted to fake reports about shelling by the Ukrainian military of the Rostov region of the Russian Federation.
“The feverish activity that was unleashed on the territory of ORDLO and in the neighboring territory of the Rostov region can only cause a bitter smile,” said Mikhail Podolyak, adviser to the head of the President’s Office.
According to him, such a “level of absurdity of the propagandists and their political support” suggests that this whole situation poses a real danger to civilians both in the temporarily occupied territory of Ukraine and in the neighboring territory of Russia.
“Firstly, it is absolutely impossible to even imagine that it would occur to anyone in the Ukrainian army to shell the territory of Russia when such a grouping of Russian troops is concentrated near our borders, and even more so when exercises of Russian nuclear forces are being held. Secondly, this Russian propaganda recruitment with false flag operations was noted, among other things, during the preparation of the war against Georgia in 2008. Thirdly, it was precisely such provocations that were warned in the West – the occupiers themselves commit criminal acts, and blame Ukraine for this,” Podolyak stressed. .
He noted that the democratic world will definitely not believe in any shelling of the Rostov region of Russia.
“Where did they shoot from? Who fired? Obviously, these are specially prepared steps of the occupiers to justify actions against Ukraine,” summed up the adviser to the head of the President’s Office.
Recall that in the Rostov region of Russia on Saturday, February 19, they allegedly discovered a place shell explosion near the Ukrainian border.
Prior to this, it was reported that the shell exploded on the territory of the Tarasovsky district Rostov region, a kilometer from the state border of Russia with Ukraine. Later, the administration of the Tarasovsky district of the Rostov region reported that another shell hit a residential building on a farm in Mityakinsky.
