Children poisoned in a children’s camp in the Carpathian region

The State Consumer Service began an investigation into the poisoning of seven children in a summer camp in the Ivano-Frankivsk region.

Already seven teenagers have been taken to the hospital due to poisoning in the suburban health and recreation facility of LLC “Deluxe-Kids-Karpaty” in the village of Tatarov, Nadvornyansky district, Ivano-Frankivsk region. This on Saturday, July 17, was told in the Main Directorate of the regional State consumer services.

“Seven children under the age of 16 years were hospitalized in the infectious diseases department of the Yaremche Central District Hospital as of 14:00 on July 17, 2021. The preliminary diagnosis of the victims is acute gastroenteritis. The condition in adolescents is mild and moderate,” the service said.

The department reported that a check on the fact of poisoning of children has begun. Selected samples of ready-made meals and drinking water, as well as washings on E. coli and patflora.

The department promised to report on the results of the study additionally.

Recall, in Ivano-Frankivsk region five teenagers were hospitalized with poisoning, vacationing in a children’s camp near the city of Yaremche.
