Between 12 and 18 November, an average of 4,165.6 people in our country became infected with the corona virus every day. That is a decrease of 21 percent and therefore less fast than in previous days. This is evident from figures from health institute Sciensano on Sunday.

During the same period of November 12-18, an average of 171.9 people died every day, 16.2 percent less compared to the previous period. Since the outbreak of the pandemic, 15,522 patients in Belgium have succumbed to COVID-19. A total of 556,904 people tested positive for COVID-19.
Between November 15 and November 21, there were an average of 316.4 new hospital admissions every day. That is a decrease of 34 percent from the seven days before.
According to the most recent figures, there are currently 5,017 people in hospital, 1,201 of whom are in intensive care. These figures are also declining.
The positivity ratio, the number of people who test positive in relation to the total number of tests, drops to 16.4 percent.
