With 0:10 the team is not only officially out of the play-off race as the first team (earliest elimination since 1990), they have now missed the finals for the tenth year in a row and are also involuntarily chasing the two shutout seasons the Detroit Lions (0:16 in 2008) and Cleveland Browns (0:16 in 2017). “It shouldn’t end like this – especially not if this is really supposed to be my last NFL year,” says running-back legend Frank Gore. “Hopefully we will at least manage to win. I would be so happy.”

Would you like a final side note? The Cleveland Browns (17 years old) and the Tampa Bay Buccaneers (twelve) are currently experiencing the longest periods of drought without play-off action. But because these two franchises are currently doing very well, the jets after 2020, with their ten years already established, could involuntarily lead here too.
