The new trailer for Forspoken is unintentionally entertaining the internet with its awkwardness

According to the original plans, we should have finished the “next-gen” Forspoken event a long time ago, but it was postponed twice, so we won’t see it until January. In order for players not to forget about it until then, the Square Enix publisher prepared a short Twitter trailer in which they tried to fit the essence of the game into a short half-minute video. And we sure hope they don’t, because if Forspoken is what the frantically edited trailer promises, it could be quite a mess.

The action itself seems like an unusual genre standard, where we run around the open world and eliminate fantasy monsters with colorful spells. Nothing groundbreaking, but if it had an interesting plot, it could work because of the nice graphics. The problem, however, is the main character, who tries to be so casual in it that half the internet is laughing. The developers were apparently inspired by self-deprecating characters from the world of Marvel, such as the new Spider-Man or Deadpool, but in their presentation it seems convulsive.

“I do magic, I kill a crazy beast and in a little while I’ll probably fly,” the heroine sums up the essence of the game in one sentence, and the Internet got a new meme. A number of parody series immediately appeared, presenting well-known titles from the past in a similar style.
