The new Splinter Cell is to be a variation on Assassin’s Creed »Vortex

Fans have been speculating for years about the Splinter Cell series and its possible sequel. But now it seems that Ubisoft is actually working on another part of Agent Fisher’s story, and the whole project is gradually becoming a reality. At least that’s what well-known insider Tom Henderson claims, who didn’t spare information about Call of Duty or Battlefield, so that, thanks to his resources, he would also start to comment on other titles and series. In connection with Splinter Cell already in October indicatedthat the project is indeed being created and its primary goal is to get the fans back to the Ubisoft side, but the latest information from Henderson did not please the players very much according to the reactions.

“Splinter Cell from Ubisoft is at the beginning of the development cycle. It’s intended – you guessed it – as open-world, “says the insider, apparently adding a quote from the concept or design of a document that likens the new Splinter Cell to a quieter and stealthier version of Assassin’s Creed. As for the processing of the game world, however, there should not be such a megalomaniacal space as in the Assassin’s Creed series, when Henderson compares it to the current Halo Infinite. However, it is still necessary to take this and other Henderson information with considerable caution, given that Ubisoft is not expected to officially comment on it yet.

As for other speculations, GamingBolt magazine, referring to two sources allegedly familiar with the publisher’s plans, claims that the game does not originate in a Montreal studio, where it is being worked on but is not known. It may be another Ubisoft studio, or someone that is explicitly external, but we are not too inclined to the second eventuality. The question, of course, is whether it is possible for us to see the game reveal during The Game Awards, but given the stage of development, this is not very likely.
