The Netherlands only allows necessary travel to Belgium

The Netherlands does not recommend traveling to Belgium. The Dutch are now allowed to come to our country only for necessary journeys, and upon their return they should be quarantined for ten days.

Due to the strong increase in corona infections, the whole of Belgium is going from code yellow (attention, there are risks) to code orange (only necessary trips) for the Netherlands. Those who return to the Netherlands are advised to go into home quarantine for ten days.

Belgium regards the whole of the Netherlands as a red zone, except for the province of Zeeland. All unnecessary travel is therefore strongly discouraged and anyone who arrives in the Netherlands must go to (home) quarantine. A day trip is therefore not possible. Zeeland is in an orange zone, which means that a visit can continue there. Travelers are advised to be vigilant.

At the end of September, the whole of Belgium was already considered an orange travel area by the Dutch Ministry of Foreign Affairs. Before that, this only applied to the cities of Brussels and Antwerp.

Tonight, the Netherlands will announce additional corona measures. There are, according to insiders, far-reaching restrictions on the way, including for the hotel and catering industry and retail trade. For example, the catering industry would sooner have to close, or even close completely.
