The Netherlands is not obliged to bring IS women and their children back – The Daily Standard

After a long legal tug, the Dutch government now finally has clarity: they are not obliged to bring Dutch IS women and their children back to the Netherlands. The Supreme Court determined that. Ready, end of discussion, over and out!
We all seemed to get a little crazy in this country. ‘Dutch’ women who went with ‘Dutch’ Syrians to found a caliphate, and thought: ‘nice, we’ll take the children!’ That caliphate turned out to be one big bloodbath and soon the ‘Dutch’ who had turned their back on us suddenly turned out to be surprisingly interested in Dutch society again. It turned out that all of them were not as bad as imagined, even without Allah.

Of course, the left Netherlands again looked for every possible stage, to be able to announce how pathetic those people are. That we are bound by human rights treaties, because these are Dutch citizens. So we should try them here so they can serve their sentence and forgive them afterwards. Because ‘everyone deserves a second chance’.

The judge went along with this at the time! The Dutch State appealed and the court in The Hague said that the judge should not sit in the chair of politics. The Supreme Court is therefore going along with this. Fortunately there is also common sense!

Human rights treaties do not directly apply to the situation of women because they are outside Dutch territory, the president of the Supreme Court said when reading the ruling.

They also underlined once again the safety risks involved. Officials in Syria, as well as personnel who should bring those families back, would be in great danger. And to top it all off, the Supreme Court says: ‘own debt big bump’ against those traveled IS women. Beautiful!
