Extraordinary Deliberation (Munaslub) Party Work has appointed Major General (Ret) Muchdi Purwoprandono as the party’s general chairman and Andi Picunang as the Secretary General.
“Has been elected in this National Conference, Mr. Maj. Gen. Muchdi PR retired army army (AD) as the Minister of Labor for the period 2020-2025,” Andi said through a video conference in Jakarta, Saturday (11/7).
In addition to the appointment of Muchdi and Andi, the Munaslub also produced a decision in the form of changing the name of the party to the Beringin Karya (Berkarya) Party.
In addition, Andi said, Munaslub had also changed the party’s basic color, from initially yellow to white. He said that the results of the National Conference had also determined a number of programs that would be carried out for the next five years which would subsequently be discussed at the party’s national working meeting (Rakernas).
“Follow-up will be followed up in the National Working Meeting in the next few months after receiving recognition from the government, in this case a decree from the Ministry of Law and Human Rights,” he said.
In addition, Andi added, the Munaslub’s decision would be followed by the formation of a formation team to form a party management that would be formed within the next 1×24 hours.
The formation of party management will later become a notary of the articles of association and bylaws before it is then submitted to the Ministry of Law and Human Rights for recognition.
Andi said that the Munaslub event was marked by rejection and intimidation by a number of other Berkarya party members who refused the National Conference.
The peak of intimidation, according to him, had occurred at 10:00. At that time, a number of people ruffled the site of the National Assembly and destroyed a number of attributes.
Responding to that, Andi said his camp did not want to bother. Although it was colored with chaos, Andi claimed that the Munaslub by his camp was a legal action.
He said, the Munaslub had been attended by around 220 party members from 30 provinces. That amount, he said, had fulfilled the forum quota (quorum), and therefore the National Consultation Council was declared legal according to the articles of association and party rules.
Andi said that the implementation of the National Workshop was carried out as a form of disappointment over the results of the Rapimnas of the three parties held in Solo in 2018 ago. He criticized the party leadership which, according to him, was autocratic and feudal.
The situation and condition, he said, had violated the nature or mandate of the party as regulated in Law Number 2/2011 concerning Political Parties. According to the law, according to him, political parties should be managed democratically.
“We refrain from responding to actions carried out by friends, extended family, who are outside wearing our attributes, we do not know, what is clear is that what was done, intimidation is far from democratic,” he said.
