The musical ‘Pinocchio’ arrives at the Gran Teatro in an original futuristic version of the fairy tale

Writer, composer and theater director Jose Masegosa gave a new life, different and fun the Pinocchio that we all know. His version modernizes the Italian author’s text through the most revolutionary adaptation imaginable, turning the story into a musical for the whole family with technological and futuristic overtones with which he intends to help the little ones to understand the consequences lies and the value of friendship.

The plot revolves around Cherry, a very intelligent, intrepid and gifted 14-year-old inventor girl and extremely creative. The bad thing is that it has a serious problem: He doesn’t know how to interact with others. which prevents him, despite the need to have real friends, from interacting with other children. Cereza uses social networks to try to be popular and make friends, but even then she can’t get what she wants and stop being alone.

To combat his lack of human skills, the little inventor decides to create a robotic child named PIN8 to become your best friend. However, things don’t go your way. since the android lacks feelings, so that her creator teaches her to lie to make it appear that she has them and to take an interest in her, even if the reality is that the invention doesn’t work. Then magic appears and trojans sprout from his incredible computer, one of the most spectacular characters in the musical, a mix between a fairy, a good computer virus and a sorceress, who will try to help Cherry by transforming Pinocchio into a child. Will she be able to convince him to stop lying and be best friends with Cereza?

Pinocchio is a Showtime production that premiered at the Teatro Calderón in Madrid. His renewal of the fantastic adventure of the character created by Collodi, supported by a solid cast, magical songs and a futuristic staging, it met with great success with audiences and critics.
