It will be carried out with the maximum security guarantees for users and with the forecast, if the health crisis allows it, for centers to resume their activity from June 22 to 29, coinciding with phase 3, as the sports deputy has advanced of the Barcelona Provincial Council, David Escudé. “There is only one premise: that citizens enter with the concern of having a good time,” he stressed.
The corporation offers advice, technical and financial support to the municipalities to reactivate the activity in the 4,300 municipal sports spaces distributed in the 311 municipalities of the province of Barcelona. “We have tried to lead in the municipalities with the unification of the information, of the existing regulations and the rationalization of these instructions and recommendations to work in the simplest possible way,” explained Escudé.
Communication campaign
In this sense, the County Council also has on its website a series of documentation addressed to the consistories that details the indications of each phase to follow in order to comply with current regulations and reopen to the public, guaranteeing safety. In addition, a communication campaign will be carried out to invite users to return to sports facilities.
This extraordinary aid will also be economic to “safeguard the sports ecosystem,” said Escudé, who for the moment has not specified a figure as it has to be decided by the government board of the Provincial Council in early July and also in function of the specific needs of each municipality.
“To make a calculation we have to know the budgetary rebalances of each facility in your municipality with each concessionaire and at the moment the vast majority of facilities are closed,” explained Escudé.
