The Korean Car Blog has published the first snapshot of the front-wheel drive Hyundai Sonata in the N-Line version. This image is said to have been taken from a video (possibly official) that was posted online for a few minutes before being removed.

About the preparation of Sonata N-Line in a Korean company already told officially… The novelty will receive a 2.5-liter GDI turbo engine from the Genesis G80 sedan, but it will be “strangled” by 14 hp. – the engine power of the sports “Sonata” will be 290 hp. at 5800 rpm.

The engine will be mated to an eight-speed DCT automatic transmission. The Sonata N-Line will weigh 1,545 kg, which is 240 kg less than the Genesis G80. The car will also receive upgraded brakes and suspension.

In terms of design, the Sonata N-Line will feature a distinctive grille and bumper, N-line badges, 19-inch wheels, bucket seats and red stitching.

In Russia, Hyundai Sonata is sold with two engines to choose from – 2.0 MPI (150 hp) and 2.5 MPI (180 hp). Both work with a six-speed automatic transmission. Prices for the “Sonata” start at 1,549,000 rubles.

Hyundai recently introduced sports version of Elantra new generation. The Elantra Hybrid is expected this year with a 1.6-liter engine and an electric motor.
