The American singer Britney Spears exploded against the unauthorized documentaries about her life, which were released last year and have been pointed out as a “help” for her situation in the legal battle to get rid of the guardianship that weighed on her.

Through her Instagram account, the “Princess of Pop” expressed herself in an extensive text about why she did not agree that these audiovisuals had been released, since she affirms that they contain mostly negative material against her.

In 2021, two documentaries about the singer were released: Framing Britney Spearsof The New York Times, and Britney vs. Spearsproduced by Netflix.

Neither of them was authorized by Britney, her lawyers, or her family, and the singer has considered them disrespectful, considering that they are profiting from her story, without even consulting her, while she is still alive.

With great anger, Britney expressed her rejection of the materials, which she described as “humiliating”, while questioning the freedom of the media to expose a person without their consent.

“Is it legal to make so many documentaries about someone without their permission? Seriously, think about it. I have never seen so many documentaries made about one person. Will Smith, Gwyneth Paltrow, Jennifer Lopez ”, he expressed at the beginning of his publication.

The interpreter of Baby One More Time He lamented so much “badness” towards her, disguised as intentions to help while what they really do is expose the negative aspects of her life and earn money at the expense of her image.

“No person on the face of the Earth would have people – a network, a television production or anyone else – dig up so much negative material and do hour-long specials claiming to ‘HELP ME.’ Really!?” she questioned in disbelief.

“It was the most insulting thing I’ve ever seen and all the people I’ve talked to have said that ‘that’s why the guardianship is over’… REALLY?” says another part of the text, which he removed from his account some hours later.

Britney confessed that she was very hurt by the way she was portrayed and how others cooperated to make it so, calling “humiliating and shameful” both what was expressed about her and the images that were presented.

“Why do people think it’s legal to humiliate me?” he asked rhetorically. “It’s so insulting it’s not even funny. And no, morons, my legs look nothing like that! The United States has been one thing and one thing only for me: a murderer, “said the artist.

Britney had previously expressed her disagreement with the documentaries about her, and had warned that she would expand more on the subject, because she really wanted to unload on it.

Now that she has regained her freedom, getting rid of the guardianship of her father Jamie Spears after 13 years, Britney has mentioned the possibility of writing a book telling her story herself, because, due to the harassment she received for more than a decade, years ago mistrust the media.
