The Minister of Production visited the new nursery in Cruz de Piedra

The head of the productive portfolio, Juan Lavandeira, accompanied by the general manager of San Luis Agua, Nazareno Perroni, and officials from the Ministry of Public Works, toured the space for agroecological production and the training of producers and educational institutions.

In order to continue promoting agroecological gardens and the benefits of this practice, the Ministry of Production in conjunction with San Luis Agua, created a new nursery in a space located in Cruz de Piedra, which was ceded in February by the Ministry of Works. Public.

The Minister of Production, Juan Lavandeira, visited the farm this Monday and commented: “We did a very nice tour in which we have seen the different productions that are being carried out, such as the novelty of the aquaponics system. We also went through the production of fruit trees, the agroecological garden that the property has, within the nursery itself the production of seedlings and vermicompost ”.

On the other hand, Nazareno Perroni, general manager of San Luis Agua, added: “We made a visit demonstrating the activities that have been carried out since February, of a joint work between the Ministry of Production, Public Works and San Luis Agua. We were able to evaluate and learn about the activities that are carried out, and whose main objective is to show the whole of society that these activities can be carried out in these institutions and encourage them to join, since agroecology has many benefits ”.

Finally, Pablo Pensotti, head of the Subprogram Fruit and Vegetable Consumption, Awareness and Training belonging to the Ministry of Production, added: a whole farm dedicated to agro-ecological production, where we produce our own compost, substrate and seedlings. The nursery is intended for producers, educational institutions throughout the province, who visit us and we visit, to set up their garden with our own seedlings ”.
