This came during the visit of the Minister of Health and Population, the Kilo 2 family medicine center in Ismailia Governorate, this morning, Saturday morning, accompanied by Dr. Ahmed El-Sobky, Assistant Minister for Supervision and Follow-up Affairs, Head of the Health Care Authority and the supervisor of the new comprehensive health insurance project, and Dr. Mohsen Taha, President The Central Department of Clinical Medicine, Engineer Khaled Abdel Rahman, Head of the Central Department for Technical Support and Projects, and Engineer Akram Sami, Assistant Minister of Health for Information Technology, as part of her field tour to follow up work in the first phase of implementing the comprehensive health insurance system in Ismailia.

Dr. Khaled Mujahid, Advisor to the Minister of Health and Population for Media Affairs and the official spokesperson for the Ministry, said that the minister was keen during her tour to speak to a number of women benefiting from the new system attending the center’s “family planning and advice” clinics, stressing to them the importance of continuous follow-up to benefit from family planning services For the benefit of their health status, as I listened to their children and the extent to which they benefited from the initiative of the President of the Republic for early detection of obesity, anemia and stunting for school students, and I explained to them the importance of maintaining their health and following a healthy diet because of its positive impact on their educational achievement.

Mujahid added that the minister reassured the health of a number of elderly citizens who had visited the center to follow up on diseases (hypertension, diabetes), and explained to them how important it is to constantly monitor their health and benefit from the medical services provided to them, and she also explained to them the extent of the impact of implementing the system. Al Jadeeda in providing the best medical service for them, and for their part, the citizens praised the facilitation of all the procedures that they witnessed during their access to the medical service.

“Mujahid” indicated that the minister reviewed the family medicine files at the center to determine the registration rates, as the total number of files registered in the unit reached 14,193 individual family medicine files so far, since the registration began in the new system in the governorate starting from October 2019, and also inspected The various departments of the unit, which include clinics (internal, emergency, women, family medicine, dentistry), to check on the medical services provided to patients in the new system, noting that the Minister was keen to inspect the doctors’ and nursing homes in the unit, and praised the level of equipment necessary for subsistence.

Mujahid pointed out that the minister began her tour by inspecting the Martyrs’ Family Medicine Center, and it is scheduled to inspect a number of hospitals and family medicine units included in the comprehensive health insurance system in Ismailia Governorate, to follow up on the workflow of the first phase of implementing the system, as well as following up on the ongoing equipment to activate the system at full capacity. In the province.

It is noteworthy that the first phase of implementing the comprehensive health insurance system includes 6 governorates: (Ismailia, Luxor, South Sinai), in which the system was launched on February 17 of this year, and (Port Said), in which the system was launched last July, in addition to the two governorates (Suez) And Aswan), and the system will be launched in them during the coming period.
