Dr. Hala Zayed, Minister of Health and Population, and a delegation of the Egyptian armed forces arrived today, Saturday, to the state of Italy, during an official visit during which they carry a message of solidarity from President Abdel Fattah Al-Sisi, President of the Republic, to the state of Italy, in the context of the depth and interdependence of relations between the two countries, Strengthening cooperation to combat the emerging coronavirus (Covid 19).
Dr. Khaled Mujahid, Advisor to the Minister of Health and Population for Media Affairs and the official spokesperson of the ministry, explained that upon the arrival of the minister, she was received by the Italian Minister of Foreign Affairs, “Luigi de Mayo”, who expressed his happiness, thanks and appreciation for the assistance and solidarity that Egypt and the government and people of Italy have provided with the government and people of Italy the friend.
He pointed out that the Minister of Health and the delegation of the armed forces delivered a shipment of medical and preventive assistance to the Italian side, pointing out that this visit comes as an extension of the phone call made by President Abdel Fattah al-Sisi, President of the Republic, yesterday with Italian Prime Minister Giuseppe Conte, and confirmed his full readiness To provide as much support as possible to Italy during its difficult conditions in the face of the Corona virus, Conte also pointed out Italy’s determination to enhance joint cooperation between the two countries in the framework of international efforts to combat the emerging Corona virus.
Mujahid stated that the Minister is loaded during that visit with a message of sympathy and condolences from President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi to our Italian friends on the death of the new Corona virus victims, in addition to supporting the injured.
He added that the Minister expressed the full support of President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi and the people of Egypt, and their condolences to the brotherly Italian people, as she confirmed the depth of strong historical relations between the two peoples, as well as her confidence in the success of the Italian state in overcoming this crisis within the next few weeks.
For his part, the Italian Foreign Minister “Luigi de Mayo” thanked the Arab Republic of Egypt for its support of the state of Italy and its full support during that crisis, stressing that the state of Italy will not forget the people who helped it and stood by its side at that time.
