Mazda regularly updates its models. If last year the popular CX-5 received a redesigned unit, this year the manufacturer focused on exterior design. But a change of face is not the only novelty.

The CX-5 compact SUV is a key model for Mazda, accounting for 21% of the brand’s sales in Europe today. This is one of the reasons why the car received regular model care for the 2022 model year, Mazda regularly updates its cars so as to remain competitive. The latest adjustments have focused on appearance.
You can recognize the Mazda CX-5 model year 2022 by its redesigned bow. The new mask with a specific grille and wing motif wants to give the car an even stronger stance, as well as redesigned headlights. By the way, the lights are new even in the case of the rear parts.
Along with these changes, there are also news in the version menu. The new Newground derivative wants to attract adventurous travelers, with specific features of lime green details, both inside and out, as well as a waterproof floor in the luggage compartment.
Homura Plus, on the other hand, emphasizes the sporty character of the car with black details, while Takumi Plus attracts with its elegance, thanks to the painted lower part of the front bumper or Nappa leather upholstery. Zircon Sand varnish is also a novelty.
The carmaker also talks about the deployment of the latest evolution of the Skyactiv platform. However, these are rather partial modifications, because Mazda emphasizes changes in the construction and suspension for greater comfort or better soundproofing. This is especially true when driving on broken roads.

A novelty is the Mi-Drive driving mode switch, which for selected variants offers Offroad settings for off-road driving. The Cruising & Traffic Support (CTS) system will then help with driving in traffic jams, combining the functions of adaptive cruise control and lane keeping assistant. In addition, the adaptive LED headlights have been improved to better respond to the surrounding traffic.
The 2022 Mazda CX-5 will be available at retailers early next year. However, we already know that the basic design will cost 647,900 crowns. The newly introduced Newground design will then be available for prices starting at CZK 888,900.
