The deputy of the Delegation of the Elderly, Third Sector and International Cooperation, Francisco Jos Martn Moreno, and the representative of the Association of Women Operated for Breast Cancer (ASAMMA), Francisca Aguilar Gmez, have presented this morning the solidarity calendar 2022 of the association. The 600 units, financed by the Provincial Council, and published by its Publishing Center, are led by ASAMMA female members who have overcome the disease and by professionals of the entity. The purpose of the 2022 solidarity calendar is to highlight the importance of sport and promote the prevention of breast cancer.
This was announced by the deputy Francisco Jos Martn together with the representative of the entity, Francisca Aguilar. The Diputacin and CEDMA always try to collaborate with all the organizations of the province, to facilitate the income to these entities and they can continue helping, the deputy explained, and added the Diputacin is together with the people of Malaga.
The solidarity calendar is an activity that has been carried out since 2007. On this occasion, the images of the calendar, captured by photographer Luca Villar, show 17 ASAMMA women practicing various sports and activities, in addition to words of impulse and energy. The theme of the new solidarity calendar deals with both the physical and psychological areas, and aims, among its other purposes, to give visibility to life after passing through breast cancer. We work for and for women who begin this hard path, at first it is hard, but the representative of ASAMMA has stood out.
The units have a cost of 4 euros, the same as in 2019, the year in which the last sale of solidarity calendars was made. In 2020, due to the Covid-19 pandemic, these solidarity calendars were replaced by informative guides for the prevention of breast cancer. The guides were distributed to various centers and entities in the province of Malaga. Although it was not possible to present a calendar last year, Aguilar says she is happy and surprised with the sale of this new edition, last year we could not do it, but this year there is a lot of demand and everything is being a success.
Copies can be purchased at the association’s headquarters located at Calle Jaboneros, 11, and through the website, www.tuescaparatesolidario.com. Likewise, the proceeds will be used to continue offering psychological assistance to all people who go through the process of breast cancer.
