In the concert, the LNSO cello dream team or LNSO cello group musicians, inviting double bassist Oskars Bokanovs and percussionist Uģis Krūskops, will take their listeners on a musical journey to the most beautiful cities in the world.
The music of Jean François and Gabriel Forre will make you feel just like in Paris. Visitors to the concert will also have the opportunity to be the first to appreciate the new work of the composer George Pelec – “Anthem” for cello, double bass and vibraphone. As part of the concert, the musicians will perform James Baralett’s arrangements from the films “Mechanical Orange”, “Pirates of the Caribbean”, “Blade Runner”, “Terminator”, “Requiem for a Dream”, “Pulp Fiction” ) and Star Wars.
The musicians’ association “LNSO cello Dream Team” became known to the general public in 2012. The ensemble’s concert programs are thematic. They include both new cello works and more well-known musical works. “LNSO cello Dream Team” includes the author of the idea and the artistic director of the project Diana Ozoliņa, Ieva Upatniece, Zane Guļāne, Lolita Lilje, Ainārs Paukšēns, Mareta Prikule, Jānis Rinkulis and Dace Zālīte-Zilberte. The sound of the LNSO cello group has also been highlighted by music critics on orchestral tours in Europe.
