Legendary singer Lata Mangeshkar, called the Nightingale of India, has died at the age of 92 in a hospital in Mumbai, world news agencies reported, Nova reports.
Lata Mangeshkar was admitted to hospital in late January after contracting COVID-19. her condition worsened and she developed multiple organ failure.

Lata Mangeshkar is revered around the world and has inspired generations of singers. She began singing as a girl and her career lasted seven decades.
