Nintendo and Illumination stayed up Tuesday with another look at their upcoming everyone’s favorite plumber movie. It arrived during a Nintendo Direct, which you can see in the replay to the right of the article (from 10pm in the video).

The latest trailer for The Super Mario Bros. Movie introduces a few more characters that we will meet in the film. Here, among others, Anya Taylor-Joy as Princess Peach and Seth Rogen as Donkey Kong.
The latter meets Mario for a duel in some arena, and it is not entirely clear on which side Donkey Kong ends up in the film. Peach, on the other hand, tries to get the Mushroom People to turn against Bowser, which they don’t seem too happy about.
Otherwise, we can hear some Charlie Day as Luigi. He also doesn’t do very well in captivity with Bowser, who is also voiced by Jack Black.
The Super Mario Bros. Movie debuted on April 7, 2023.
