The Last Solar Eclipse 2021 on December 4, Here Are the Facts

Jakarta, CNBC Indonesia – The last solar eclipse of 2021 will occur on December 4. This natural phenomenon will be enjoyed directly by people in the Southern Hemisphere.

On December 4, 2021, there will be a Total Solar Eclipse, when the Moon moves between the Sun and Earth, casting a shadow on Earth, completely or partially blocking the Sun’s light in some areas. But this can only be enjoyed in the Antarctic area.

A total solar eclipse in space occurs every 18 years. The last total solar eclipse in Antarctica was in 1967 and the next solar eclipse will occur in 2490.

While some areas will enjoy a Partial Solar Eclipse (partial). Among them: Saint Helena, Namibia, Lesotho, South Africa, South Georgia and the Sandwich Islands, Crozet Islands, Falkland Islands, Chile, New Zealand and Australia.

The December 4 solar eclipse will be broadcast live via NASA Live’s YouTube account. The eclipse begins at 10:59 WIB. The full eclipse will be visible at 12:30 WIB.

The maximum eclipse will be visible at 13:03 WIB and the eclipse will end at 15:07 WIB, as quoted from India Today, Tuesday (30/11/2021).
