The Last of Us Part II is the fastest selling PS4 exclusive, we learned this morning from the official PlayStation blog. This suite of Last of Us therefore sold faster than God of War, Spider-Man and Uncharted 4, all successes of the PlayStation 4 console.
Eric Lempel, VP of PlayStation global marketing, said on the PlayStation blog that The Last of Us Part II more than 4 million copies had passed three days after its launch on June 19.
«The Last of Us Part II was made possible through the efforts of hundreds of talented and passionate developers of Naughty Dog. We cannot imagine a greater honor than seeing this same passion reflected in the people who play it. Thank you for helping us take this important step, ”said game director Neil Druckmann in the blog post.
Druckmann also expressed his gratitude to players on Twitter, using an animated GIF of Ellie, the main character of Last of Us Part II.
The PS4 generation is drawing to a close; in exclusive headlines, only Ghost of Tsushima, scheduled for July 17, 2020, which however does not risk dethroning The Last of Us Part II.
