The investments will be several tens of millions of euros. A building rights agreement has already been concluded, permits have been received from the Ministry of Economy for new electricity generation equipment and connection to the “High Voltage Network” infrastructure, technical regulations have been developed and negotiations with the regional municipality have begun, in which understanding and support have been expressed.
The solar farm is scheduled to be connected to the grid in 2024 and will produce approximately 110,000 megawatt-hours of energy annually, supplying approximately 52,000 households. “European Energy” intends to develop both solar and wind parks in Latvia with a total capacity of one gigawatt, investing several hundred million euros.
