The initiative includes the planting of tree and shrub species, the acquisition of inputs, the development of a fertilization and maintenance plan with permanent irrigation in the green spaces of public buildings and on the margins of provincial roads and highways. Its objective is not only to beautify the province but also to take care of the environment.
“Currently, maintenance work is being carried out on the plantations, grass cutting, weeding, throughout the Terrazas del Portezuelo property. In Autopista de las Serranías Puntanas, inter-row weeding and cleaning of rest areas is being carried out, and maintenance of the species located on the margins of Route N ° 9 is continuing, ”said the head of the Afforestation and Forest Program. In addition, the official indicated: “Plantations of different species are being carried out on the Saladillo highway, in the section that goes from the town of Saladillo to La Totora; these tasks are within the framework of the ‘More Trees More Life’ Plan, a joint effort with the Ministry of the Environment and Parks ”.
Different landscaping works are carried out daily that require a large workforce, which is possible thanks to the work carried out by the organization’s crews together with beneficiaries of the Social Inclusion Plan who were trained to perform these important tasks that allow to beautify the community.
