The Labor Court of Chartres expects a complicated year 2022

It is a year still greatly disrupted by the Covid-19 that Sébastien Macabies, outgoing president of the Conseil de prud’hommes de Chartres, officially ended on Tuesday January 25, 2022.

During the formal back-to-school hearing, in the presence of only a few guests, he gave up his seat to Claudine Lepareur, outgoing vice-president of the employer college. She will be supported by Christina Loison, new vice-president of the salaried college.

Despite the difficulties linked to the health crisis, the Conseil des prud’hommes de Chartres has an average duration of completed cases of 13.4 months (excluding summary proceedings). A slightly higher figure than in 2020 (12.2 months) and than in 2019 (10.5 months), while the average age of the stock fell by 6.74%: 8.3 months last year compared to 8.9 months in 2020, 6.2 months in 2019 and 8.3 months in 2018.

Unkept promises

While the number of calls (64) increased by more than 40% compared to 2020 (45), it nevertheless shows a drop of 45.30% compared to 2019, when 117 calls were recorded.

Sébastien Macabies confided some regrets concerning the security of the Chartres Labor Court and the computer equipment, which would need to be renewed. “Nothing has progressed to date despite promises in 2021…”

Rémi Coutin, the public prosecutor, praised the solidarity of the labor court advisers who agreed to judge forty-three cases from the Nanterre Labor Council (Hauts-de-Seine). “A decisive decision to contain Nanterre’s processing times. »

“It also proves the confidence of professional magistrates in you. »

Claudine Lepareur nevertheless announced a year 2022 which “risks being complicated. With the work overload caused by the drafting and the staffing problems, the two-month period between the hearing and the delivery of the judgment may be difficult to respect”.

And to underline the commitment of the labor court advisers and the registry staff who “do not count their time by making replacements when necessary”.
