San Fernando de Henares is in luck again thanks to the work and dedication of its athletes. The Kyodai Karate Club, with the champion and neighbor of the municipality, Sergio Galán, at the helm; with his brother Alberto Galán and Lidia Rodríguez; he has achieved important results during the final phase of the National League; returning home with four gold, three silver and two bronze medals. “I want to take this opportunity to congratulate these champions, who are an example of perseverance and effort (…). From the Government team we are always going to support our athletes ”, indicated the mayor, Javier Corpa.
The first position in alevín kata went to Hugo González, who also achieved the same position in kumite -34 kilos; while his partner Izan López, won the gold in youth kata, and Iván Gómez in kumite -68 kilos. For Sergio Galán there was third place in senior kata. In addition, David Olmos, Carla Guardeño and Enzo González won silver and bronze in kumite -34 kilos, cadet kata, kumite -47 kilos and youth -42 kilos. “To remain second in the medal table, with more than one hundred participating clubs is a satisfaction, with 14 classified and 20 representations in this final phase. We are proud because we are a family, because of the camaraderie… because the medals come and go, but the people and the moments always stay ”, said Galán; who also wanted to mention other participants: Inés Muñoz, Salva y Eduardo and Enrique Bazo.
