The incidents of families in public, during which dozens of police officers intervened, aroused great emotions in the city. “We want to calm the situation in Přerov and listen to the opinions of citizens,” the mayor added.

The skirmishes took place in the city last week. In Bratrská Street, one part of the participants in the conflict threw objects from the windows at night after another. No one was injured, but several cars were damaged. Dozens of police officers were resolving another clash the day before in one of the confectioneries on Masaryk Square. According to police, the attackers attacked a 47-year-old man.

The forty-six-year-old assailant and his 24-year-old son resisted the police, so police had to use coercive measures. The guards used tear gas.
The incidents provoked stormy emotions in Přerov, and videos from the clashes and the intervention of the police officers were shared by Přerová on social networks. There were also hateful comments, which, according to the Přerov police spokeswoman Miluš Zajícová, the police are already dealing with.
