the Itchyworms Bring Filipino Energy⁤ to Nagoya debut

award-winning Filipino pop-rock band⁣ The Itchyworms are scheduled to perform in⁢ Nagoya,Japan‌ for the first time on ‌October 5,2025,at Live House Circus as‌ part of‍ their⁤ You are just me tour. ⁢This performance⁣ marks‍ a critically important​ moment as the‍ band expands its presence in Japan, a country where they’ve cultivated a dedicated fanbase.

The Itchyworms have already ​established a strong connection with⁤ Japanese audiences, having performed earlier this year in Tokyo and Saitama. They also‌ delivered memorable sets ⁣at the‍ tokyo Beyond Festival in 2022 and the Kansai Music Festival in 2023. Nagoya, Japan’s fourth-largest city, represents a ⁣new ‌frontier for the‌ band, both on stage and‍ as a destination to explore.

“This ‌will be our first time to travel to ‍Nagoya – as tourists,and as ‌performers,”⁤ says​ lead⁢ vocalist and guitarist Jugs Jugueta. “We’ve⁢ heard there is⁢ a huge Filipino community in Nagoya. ‌We are so⁢ excited‌ to play for them and to meet them all! We love ⁤Japan ​so much.”

Co-lead vocalist and drummer Jazz ‍Nicolas shares the enthusiasm, stating,‌ “We’ve never been to Nagoya before, so it’ll be a new‍ experience for ⁤us. It’s always great to play for both Filipino and local audiences in Japan.”

The band intends to create a concert atmosphere reminiscent of home. “We try to feel the⁤ vibe of the audience so that we can deliver ⁣the best ‌show for them,” Jugueta explains. “One thing for sure ⁤is that we will take them back ​to⁢ the Philippines, if only for ‌a few hours.”

The setlist will⁢ include fan favorites‍ such as ​ You ⁣are just me ‌ and beer,alongside unique elements⁤ tailored to the⁣ Nagoya show.

Adding to the⁢ band’s dynamic is their newest member, Michael Vargas, whose⁤ skills on guitar, keyboards, ⁤and violin are ⁢enhancing their live performances.His addition has further⁣ energized the band’s stage ⁤presence, building ​anticipation ⁤for their international​ shows.
