The Italians managed to extract the data from the black box of the plane piloted by the billionaire Dan Petrescu / A Romanian specialist also participated in the proceedings / 8 people died in the accident on October 3

The Italian Agency for Flight Safety extracted the memory from the black box of the private plane that crashed last October 3, and the prosecutors of the Milan Prosecutor’s Office, together with specialists in aeronautics, start studying the data, announces Corriere della Sera.

It took more than a month to reach the contents of the black box of the Pilatus PC-12 aircraft, which crashed shortly after taking off from Milan Linate Airport on October 3, killing eight people.

Investigating the causes of the accident thus comes to life and the information contained in the so-called “lightweight data recorder” will be crucial in trying to formulate a dynamic analysis of the flight.

The step, extremely important in conducting the investigation, is confirmed by the National Agency for Flight Safety in Italy (ANSV), which proceeded to “extract the memory” on Friday, November 12, “in its laboratories in Rome.”

The extraction was carried out not only during the ANSV investigation, which aims only to prevent future accidents, but also on behalf of the Milan Prosecutor’s Office, which is investigating the case to find out who is to blame for the plane crash and the death of the eight people.

The operations, says the Italian agency, “were assisted by an investigator from the Investigation and Analysis Authority for Civil Aviation Safety in Romania, by the technical consultant of the Milan Prosecutor’s Office, as well as by other persons legally entitled to participate in the activity in question.”

“The action was successfully completed and the data contained in the memory could be recovered”, clarifies ANSV. “In the near future, within the respective investigations and with the observance of their different purposes, the extracted data will be analyzed”, the institution announces.

The aircraft, destined for Olbia, took off and crashed on October 3, at noon, for reasons that have not yet been established.

Experts who have read the flight parameters assume that the engine’s engine blockage is the most likely cause. What caused this, however, is unknown.

One hypothesis is that the pilot, the Romanian billionaire Dan Petrescu, 68 years old, was the victim of a spatial disorientation, which determined him to lose all his coordinates.

Also on board were his wife, 65, son Dan Stefan and a Canadian friend, a couple of 33-year-old Italian Filippo Nascimbene and his wife, Claire, 33, and their son Raphael. , one year old, and Claire’s mother, 65 years old.
