ROTHESAY, SCOTLAND (Svenska Dagbladet): The wind blows and whips the gray water in the fjord Firth of Clyde. The ferries, which are the only lifeline to the Scottish mainland, have been canceled due to the storm. The weather-beaten buildings in the center of Rothesay can withstand a day of sour wind.
Many shops in the city center are empty or closed, but one café stands out along the beach promenade. The large windows light up the street opposite the harbor. Outside there is a queue at lunchtime.
