The iPhone 12 Pro Max battery is smaller than its predecessor


At launch iPhone 12, Apple does not reveal the battery capacity of each model. But recently the battery capacity iPhone 12 Pro Max revealed, and smaller than its predecessor.

Quoted detikINET from MacRumors, Thursday (22/10/2020) based on documents registered with TENAA, the iPhone 12 Pro Max has a battery of 3,687 mAh. This capacity is 7% smaller than the iPhone 11 Pro Max battery which is 3,969 mAh.

The document also notes that this highest variant of the iPhone 12 has 6GB of RAM, according to the numbers in the benchmark results that emerged last week. The RAM size has increased compared to the 4GB RAM that the iPhone 11 Pro Max carries.

Apple has registered many products with TENAA in recent years and the list has proven to be accurate on numerous occasions.

The battery capacity revealed in this document also matches the rumors that were mentioned in July iPhone 12 Pro Max will be equipped with a 3,687 mAh battery.

Despite having a smaller battery, the technical specifications revealed by Apple indicate that the iPhone 12 Pro Max will have a battery life equivalent to the iPhone 11 Pro Max. Both devices are claimed to be able to play video for up to 20 hours and play audio for up to 80 hours.

Apple almost never reveals the battery capacity and RAM the iPhone uses. But this information will be revealed in the next few days via a teardown video.

Besides iPhone 12 Pro MaxThe battery capacities of the iPhone 12 mini and iPhone 12 have also been revealed. Documents from Brazilian certification body ANATEL reveal the battery capacity of the iPhone 12 mini is 2,227 mAh, and the iPhone 12 carries a 2,815 mAh battery.
