The interior was left to the inside, but the summer cinema was banned

On the one hand, the police did not intervene against the noisy techno party, which lasted four days and three nights in the Benešov region at the end of July, demonstrably extending the deadline by the end of the night and the day. During the nights, police received dozens of complaints from locals about the disturbance of the night’s peace, but did not intervene and the music from the massive speakers rumbled continuously outside the village.

On the other hand, in the village of Kamenice near Prague, the Ministry of the Interior banned screenings in a summer cinema on the grounds that it would disturb the quiet of the night. According to the Ministry of the Interior, the intention of the municipality was in conflict with the law. According to the Ministry, such a frequency of screenings could not be considered an exception. Therefore, it did not allow the operation of the cinema.

“This is completely beyond my comprehension. It is clear that they have a double meter. The cinema disturbs the quiet of the night and the techno party doesn’t it? They ban screenings, dare a small number of people in a small village. But techno parties prefer to monitor, but do not intervene, so as not to conflict with a bunch of fetishized or drunk people. They prefer to sacrifice a few people from the village again, “one of the inhabitants of Kamenice was angry.

“It is clear that the summer cinema cannot start before sunset, and will therefore end long after ten,” the mayor of Kamenice told the local news about the ban on the ministry.

“In the past, however, the interior did not allow our request for 12 performances every Friday and Saturday,” continued Mayor Pavel Čermák (security).

According to the ministry, the legal procedure

The Ministry of the Interior responded to the warning of this discrepancy by calling the procedure of the police at Ješetice “correct and in accordance with the methodological procedures”.

“The event took place on legally leased private land with the consent of the owner. The disturbance of the rest of the night is qualified by the Czech legal system as a misdemeanor and the suspicion of its disturbance is not in itself a reason for the police to intervene, “said ministry spokesman Adam Rözler.

According to him, the police dealt with the volume of music with the organizer on the spot and called on him to regulate it.

“Any violations of these calls are documented as standard and forwarded to the relevant administrative authorities. There were no other serious violations of public order in connection with this event. “Rözler added and recommended that the municipality draw up a decree that would allow a similar regulation to be better regulated for the next time.

“The mentioned techno party was originally supposed to take place in the village of Neveklov, but it has such a decree, so it also happened that the techno party did not take place in the place and moved to the cadastre of the village, which does not regulate this issue,” said a spokesman.

Dissatisfied mayor

The mayor of Ješetice, Lenka Sladkovská (security), paused over such advice. “We are already preparing a decree, but I do not understand why municipalities should have more and more decrees, when there is already a ban on disturbing the night quiet in the whole republic. They broke it during the techno party, “she wondered.

“The most complaints from the local people were about Monday night, people needed to sleep, they got up to work in the morning, moreover, the event was not supposed to be here at all. The worst thing was that they didn’t turn it off for a while, it was the terrible monotonous noise all the time, “said Sladkovská, who collegially informs other mayors about the draft decree.

“I am already sending proposals for the decree to the mayors in the area, so that it does not happen that two municipalities will have it and send technicians to their neighbors in the third. But if it’s valid, I don’t know. It is difficult to judge whether it would help and the police would intervene if we had it before the event, “concluded Sladkovská.
