Ingredients

  • 3/4 cup oatmeal (or oatmeal)
  • 1/2 cup milk
  • Half a banana (ripe)
  • 1 egg
  • Cinnamon to taste)
  • 1 Teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 teaspoon yeast
  • Olive (or coconut) oil

  • Honey or syrup (to taste)

Preparation

  1. Mix all the ingredients in the blender: the oats, the milk, the half banana, the egg, the cinnamon, the vanilla essence and the yeast. To get a fluffy result, you should wait about 5 minutes for the yeast to act.
  2. Pour the mixture into a frying pan with oil over medium heat. Since it is quite thick, you should use a large spoon to divide the portions. Don’t forget to flatten and turn the pancakes to avoid leaving the center raw (if small bubbles appear, it is normal).
  3. Time is relative and taste, the important thing is to make them very fluffy. After taking off the first one, you can remove it from the fire and continue with the next ones.
  4. To decorate them you can accompany them with strawberries, blueberries, banana, nuts, syrup or honey. There are no limits.
