The incredible curse of Slavia’s stoppers continues. Even so, she managed the match with Liberec

The footballers of Prague’s Slavia won the 11th round of the first league over Liberec 3: 1.

The defending champion sent Bah into the lead in the 43rd minute, and in the middle of the second act, former Severočechů player Kuchta raised. The former Slavic midfielder, who replaced Stoch, reduced in the 73rd minute, but Olayinka decided definitively in the next eight minutes. The Prague team defeated Liberec for the sixth time in a row.

After health problems, the healed goalkeeper Kolář returned to the Slavic goal, celebrating his 27th birthday on Sunday. After the injury, Kačaraba stepped on the stopper, playing with a protective mask after a broken face. However, due to the crisis in the place of the middle defenders, the hastily trained midfielder Hromada stood by his side.

Yes, however, he did not finish, he had to take turns due to injury, and the incredible curse of the Slavic stoppers continues. “If someone had told me before the season that we would finish a league match with Liberec with such a defense, I would not believe it,” coach Jindřich Trpišovský shook his head after the match in an interview for O2 Sport.

As expected, the people of Prague held the ball and tried to dictate the pace, but at first the well-defending guests did not let them into the chances. Slovan relied on breaks and had the first two major options. In the 19th minute, Matoušek, who, as on the other side, the Slavic Kačaraba could have boarded despite the visitors from the opponent’s club, fired from the side and Kolář sent the ball to the corner.

With 34 minutes played, the visitors broke through on the right after some poor defending. The Praguers lacked accuracy in the final stage, yet they still hit the break. Goalkeeper Knobloch fired Stanciu’s shot in front of him at the beginning of the 43rd minute and the catching Bah head knocked the ball into the net. The Danish quarterback scored for the second time in the Czech league.

The Liberec team started the second half more actively, in the 52nd minute he broke through from the side in front of the goal Matoušek, but from the angle he did not push the ball through Koláře. Then, on the opposite side, Krmenčík threatened twice, who first hit Knobloch with a hard blow from a distance and then did not even make his head.

After an hour of play, Hromada was injured, midfielder Traoré tried it on the stopper for a while, then Bah Bah finished the match there.

In the 67th minute, the home team increased. Krmenčík took the vertical on the edge of the offside and directed his pass from the right side into the lime into the Kuchta net. The national team striker scored for the sixth time in the league season and reached the top of the shooting table.

Liberec still managed to dramatize the match for a while. Former Slavist Stoch was on the lawn as a substitute for about five minutes, when he collided with Havelka and overcame Kolář with a shot on the front pole. He apologized for the goal against the former club and the home fans rewarded him with applause.

The North Bohemians fed the hope of a settlement for only eight minutes. A corner kick from Stanciua brought Kuchta to the corner and Olayinka approached the net with a header. The Nigerian midfielder, who recently struggled with injuries, hit for the first time since March and stylishly celebrated his 100th duel in the Czech league. The Slavists won a tune in for Thursday’s European Conference League match at Maccabi Haifa.
