SuaraJabar.id – Cases of death due to Fever Dengue or DBD in the city Tasikmalaya, West Java to be the highest in Indonesia. Since the beginning of 2022 until now, 19 people in the city have died from dengue fever.
Two of the 19 people who died from dengue fever were known to be children. Both are residents of Sukamanah Village, Cipedes District. Both children died on the same day.
The Head of Communicable Disease Prevention and Control at the Tasikmalaya City Health Office, Abdulah Mubarok, confirmed that two children died from dengue on the same day.
He said the total number of deaths from dengue fever from the beginning of 2022 now stands at 19.

Meanwhile, the number of dengue fever cases in Tasikmalaya City to this day is 1154 people. 16 of them are children.
“From the findings of the Health Office in the field, it turns out that dengue mosquito larvae were also found in the bathroom of the victim’s house,” he said, Friday (8/7/2022).
According to him, the level of resistance of DHF mosquitoes in Tasikmalaya City is now considered to have extraordinary immunity. So that even if you take precautions, fogging, is also very ineffective. It even threatens human life.
Therefore, to prevent cases of dengue fever infecting the City of Tasikmalaya, eradicating mosquito nests is the solution.
“Especially in puddles, starting from the dispenser tub, refrigerator or other puddles,” he said.
He continued, adding that what the closest person should do if they find a child or anyone with a fever is to immediately take the victim to the hospital Public health center nearest.
