Al-Marsad Newspaper: Weather and Climate Society Vice President Dr. Abdullah Al-Misnad commented on the rainy situation Jeddah witnessed last Thursday. Emphasizing that the height of the cloud above Jeddah is higher than Mount Everest.

He pointed out that this thermal dome contributes when there is high humidity, as happened last Thursday, to heavy rains, as the humidity present above the surface and the upper atmospheric layers, in addition to the convergence of two currents, has led to raise this huge amount of moisture, until cold blocks were found at altitudes of 3 and 5 kilometers. Clouds began to form north of Jeddah and also in the sea until the top of this cloud reached 18 kilometers , meaning that it was twice as high as the peak of Mount Everest and rainfall equivalent to 3 rainy seasons fell in Jeddah.
