Petrikovets fired after refusing to follow the instructions of the Cabinet

The Guaranteed Buyer State Enterprise announced illegal interference by the Cabinet of Ministers due to payments to green energy producers.

The head of the state-owned enterprise Guaranteed buyer Konstantin Petrikovets turned to NABU with a request for interference in the work of the enterprise by representatives of the government, informs press service of the enterprise.

“I am ready to convey to NABU the facts of illegal pressure and interference in the work of the enterprise. I am receiving threats and intimidation because of my refusal to follow the illegal instructions of the government representatives on non-payment of funds to green energy producers,” the message says.

According to him, representatives of the Cabinet of Ministers tried to interfere in the business activities of the enterprise by telephone.

“I am ready to transfer all data confirming administrative pressure with the demand to render illegal actions. It was the refusal to comply with illegal instructions that became the real reason for my dismissal. Any accusations against me about allegedly damaging the enterprise are a deliberate deception and an attempt to intimidate me,” Petrikovets said.

In addition to NABU, he turned to the EU Delegation in Ukraine in order to prevent the disruption of settlements to green energy producers for funds raised through targeted Eurobonds.

Note that Petrikovets’ dismissal became known late in the evening the previous day. The Cabinet of Ministers also blocked the repayment of debts to green investors in Oschadbank for UAH 19.3 billion.

For the last year production of “green” electricity in Ukraine doubled – to 10.219 billion kWh against 5570 billion kWh a year earlier.
