The Halo Infinite boss gives in, and so does the Everwild designer

Chris Lee will do something different at Microsoft.

The launch of Halo Infinite has been postponed, among other things after negative reactions when Microsoft and 343 Industries showed off the first minutes of gameplay earlier this year.

Updated, October 30, 07:06 AM:

Now it turns out that Rare’s Simon Woodroffe, who was one of those with the longest expertise as “Creative Director” has also left. Woodroffe was working on another game that would lift the Xbox Series, namely Everwild.

Veterans take over to save Halo

Now the “Studio Lead” for the game, Chris Lee, has been removed from the project and given other tasks at Microsoft instead.

“I believe in the team and I am sure they will deliver a great game. This is a good time for me to disappear ”.

Why it is a good time to make upheavals in such a large project relatively close to the launch (?) Is uncertain, but then there is also much we do not know.

What we do know is that Microsoft brought in Halo veterans after the revelation of the failure, and that Lee was probably pushed out that way.

The game has no launch date, but is expected to come next year.
