The Government Ensures Incentive of Rp. 600,000 Per Month to Enter Employee Pockets

JAKARTA, KOMPAS.com – The government is finalizing the provision of incentives of Rp. 600,000 per month for non-PNS and BUMN employees who are paid under Rp. 5 million. Gift salary This addition is planned for September 2020.

The Ministry of Finance’s Fiscal Policy Head Febrio Kacaribu said the government was still reviewing the right scheme in channeling the incentives.

Febrio said, one of the obstacles in realizing the incentive was to ensure the correctness of data from the beneficiaries. According to him, the data needed from the beginning was not owned by the government.

Therefore, the government is now completing data collection, so that the provision of incentives is expected to be right on target and can be accounted for.

“The data is being collected to be complete and accountable. Because a significant challenge for the government in difficult times now is how to provide support directly to the community, but in total there are millions of people. So how can we give support which can be accounted for, “said Febrio.

The government indeed plans to provide an additional salary incentive of Rp. 600,000 per month for four months.

Thus, each employee with a salary of under Rp. 5 million can receive up to Rp. 2.4 million in assistance from the government.

Febrio revealed, the Ministry of Finance continues to coordinate with the Covid-19 Handling Committee and the National Economic Recovery to finalize the incentive-giving scheme. In fact, targeted to be completed next week.

“Hopefully next week it can be clearer, and can be announced officially. But, the numbers are still moving. But, if the President announces Rp 2.4 million, then that will be used,” concluded Febrio.
