The Government Allocates Rp. 13 Trillion for Village Citizen BLT Assistance, These Are the Terms and How to Get It

DIY NEWS – Minister of Villages, Development of Disadvantaged Areas and Transmigration (Mendes PDTT) Abdul Halim Iskandar stated that there is a portion of IDR 30.7 trillion from the remaining Village Fund budget which can be used for the Village Cash Workforce Program (PKTD) and is estimated to be able to absorb 7.05 million workers.

Abdul Halim in an online press conference, after a limited meeting chaired by President Joko Widodo (Jokowi) in Jakarta, Thursday, said the PKDT activities would be held from October to December 2020.

“PKTD in October, November, December is prioritized for PKTD which does not require high materials. So the minimum is above 50 percent for wages, so that the absorption of labor is large, “he said.

In the labor-intensive development period with a budget of IDR 30.7 trillion, Abdul Halim estimates that PKTD will absorb 7,056,751 workers.

“PKTD until December, assuming each PKTD is eight days per month, we will find 7,056,751 workers who will be absorbed,” he said.

In addition to the IDR 30.7 trillion budget for PKTD, there is still a Village Fund budget of IDR 13.06 trillion to continue the Direct Cash Assistance Program (BLT).

Abdul Halim hopes that the opening of millions of jobs in rural areas will increase people’s purchasing power and minimize the impact the economy due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
